Camp Yoga Rocks is a fun, interactive yoga camp designed for children ages 5 – 10 years old.

In a recent interview with Brandon Cox of CorePower Yoga, he shared his thoughts on the practice, and the inspiration behind his teaching.

How does your yoga bring more peace and harmony into our community?
The funny thing is that it may not bring peace and harmony immediately, because the practice can often bring out the discomfort of being with yourself and reality of circumstances in our lives that don’t serve us.  Sitting with these emotions and then moving through the fire is what brings the inner peace and truth to onesself.  Once one finds truthfulness (satya) then one finds harmony within community. In the word of Shakespeare “To thine own self be true”.

Why do you teach yoga?
Simply, to help people to find the power within themselves.

What intention lies behind your teachings?
The intention is FUN! There is too much outside the yoga room to be serious about.

What theme or feeling will your Yoga Rocks the Park class have?
Yoga outside + Colorado sun = FUN

Don’t miss Brandon Cox with DJ Tres for a FUN, EMPOWERING, SPIRITED class this Sunday at Alamo Placita Park!
